The Edna Bailey Sussman Trust awards competitive graduate internships to students working in areas “involving the preservation of wildlife, the control of pollution, the preservation of natural land resources, or similar subject matter related to the environment.” This year, the Sussman Trustees are particularly interested in proposals that may involve urban environments or climate related projects. In addition, unlike many other endowment-based funding sources, financial support will remain strong for the Sussman Internships this year, with 12 internship applications requested from ESF (an increase of one from 2008). There will be a brief informational session regarding the preparation of proposals at 11:00 am, Friday, January 23, in 217 Bray Hall.
